A Fat Quarter Celebration

Recently the Fat Quarters gathered to celebrate the wedding of Janelle's daughter, Heather.

The Fat Quarters (from back row left) Janelle, the bride's mother, Jabeth, the bride's aunt, Nancy, Alta, and myself.

The happy couple, Heather and Kieth were married in the same church (in Sturgis, Michigan) as Heather's parents. The reception was held at Riverside Receptions in Centerville, Michigan (see the following post-Blogger was being problematic and I had to break this into two posts.)

Riverside Receptions

Riverside Receptions in Centerville,
Michigan is a wonderful venue to hold any sort of party. It was perfect for Heather and Kieth's reception.

There are extensive grounds, wonderfully landscaped with many flowers blooming. This site is on the banks of the St. Joseph River, which was actually very low, down 18 inches because of lack of rain. This wonderful gazebo was down by the river and I couldn't resist getting it with the flowers in the foreground. This picture says "quilt" to me!

There are two beautiful waterfalls, each with Koi in their pools. These Koi were very hungry, and very personable. They got so excited anytime anyone walked close to their pool. However, there was a sign not to feed them. The owner told me it was to safeguard their health and to keep people from giving them food that would harm them.
